Time: Full-time Year-Round 

Starting Wages:  $22.00-$24.00

  Overview: 

The Maintenance Technician II performs all general to complex facility maintenance under minimum supervision to ensure optimum quality and efficient production. 

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair resort equipment to ensure longevity and proper usage 
  • Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed. 
  • Apply intermediate working knowledge of facilities maintenance such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and repairs as needed 
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems. 
  • Clean and inspect building systems and report deficiencies to the supervisor 
  • Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled, including but not limited to, replacing bulbs and air filters 
  • Creates list of supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance to be ordered by the supervisor. 
  • Work with a Tech III or on own to replace breakers, ballasts and other electrical fixtures including switches and sockets; prevent and troubleshoot possible electric hazards 
  • Construct and/or repair on interior/exterior walls, wall coverings and ceilings by patching drywall, replacing wood or wall coverings or texture and painting 
  • Pool maintenance; handle chemical analysis and maintenance of the boiler system and pumps. 
  • Shoveling of all doorways, walk paths, and other traffic areas for guests and employees 
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities and resort grounds. 
  • Work with team to remove snow; be able to use a shovel, snow blower, bobcat, and plow truck 
  • Complete all assigned work orders efficiently and to Resort standards 
  • Follow all safety policies and standards 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

  

Qualifications 

  • 2+ year experience in a general maintenance or carpentry type role required 
  • Proficiency in a wide variety of general maintenance tasks, such as painting, basic carpentry, dry wall repair, installation of assorted fixtures, and electrical and plumbing repairs that do not require a license 
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems with ability to diagnose problems 
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools 
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings 
  • Must have flexible availability, as schedule may vary between daytime and evening shifts, including holidays and weekends 
  • High School diploma, or equivalent GED, required 
  • Minimum 18 years of age due to type of equipment used and general work environment 
  • Must be able to handle confidential information 
  • Must work both independently and in a team environment 
  • Good to Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written 
  • Must possess a valid driver's license 
  • Must be comfortable climbing and working on ladders ranging from 6' to 20' heights 
  • Must be able to stand for a majority of the shift while reaching, bending and stooping frequently 
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds across short-medium distance 
  • Must be able to work in all-weather elements and heights
