For the past twenty years, such legendary bluesmen as Mississippi John Hurt, Blind Willie McTell and Big Bill Broonzy have all left their mark on Thorne's guitar style. Combining these ragtime and piedmont influences with his own interpretations, Thorne delivers forceful, precise guitar work and soulful vocals. Thorne has been a regular performer in the northern Minnesota and Wisconsin areas for the past decade. As much as his musical interests have influenced his playing, his lifestyle has shaped how he views his music.
