On Wednesday evenings, the Lofty Gondola transforms into a listening room showcasing the Midwest’s top songwriters. This intimate room with great sound gives the audience an opportunity to immerse into the stories and craft of the song.
Nicholas David, known as "the Feelin," is a soulful artist whose music blends the rich traditions of American R&B, New Orleans rock 'n' roll, country-driven gospel, and church soul. Drawing comparisons to iconic figures like Dr. John, Marvin Gaye, Dylan, and Prince, he stands out as a modern interpreter of these genres, reshaping their essence for contemporary audiences. Gaining widespread recognition as a contestant on "The Voice" in 2012, where he finished third, David captivated audiences with his powerful performances and heartfelt expressions of faith and family. Critics praise his unique sound, noting his ability to channel multiple musical influences simultaneously.
