Role Overview: 

Lutsen Mountains is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee our cleaning staff and ensure our facilities are clean, presentable, and welcoming to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and manage a team of housekeepers. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain resort standards of cleanliness and understanding and following pre-established guidelines and direction from manager or supervisor.  
  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff, including assigning of daily tasks. 
  • Ensure all rooms and common areas are cleaned and maintained to high standards. 
  • Work with the Head of Housekeeping to develop and implement cleaning procedures and protocols. 
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets established standards. 
  • Work with Head of Housekeeping to manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, including requisitions for restocking. 
  • Resolve customer complaints related to housekeeping services. 
  • Address maintenance issues and report to the maintenance department. 
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards. 
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure facilities are maintained to high standards. 
  • Transport and carry cleaning supplies including housekeeping cart, vacuum and sanitizers to/from various resort and outlying areas.  
  • Clean hotel units, common areas, restrooms, hallways, lounges, and corridors; restock supplies. 
  • Respond to room calls.  
  • Help to maintain resort and common areas including shoveling, and garbage pick-up. 
  • All other duties as assigned 

Qualifications 

  • Prior leadership experience in a housekeeping role 
  • Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper 
  • Valid Driver's License 
  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain an elevated level of performance 
  • Customer-oriented and friendly 
  • Prioritization and time management skills 
  • Working quickly without compromising quality 
  • Knowledge of English language 
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds 
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays required and willingness to flex up or down in scheduled work hours (based on business needs)
